2026 NSW Young Australian of the Year Nominee announced as keynote speaker at upcoming Rural Health Pathways Showcase

Published Date: 27 July 2026

RDN Health is excited to announce that 2026 NSW Young Australian of the Year Nominee and dental health advocate, Dr Rand Younes, is the keynote speaker at the day session of this year’s Rural Health Pathways Showcase on 3 September at ICC Darling Harbour, Sydney.

Rand studied dentistry in rural NSW and saw firsthand the deep inequities in healthcare, and is now a passionate dentist working to close the gap in oral care access for vulnerable children.

The Showcase is the perfect opportunity for Rand to share her inspirational story with students (years 9-12) interested in a rural health career, who are invited to join one of two sessions on offer with their parents, careers advisers and/or teachers.

Rand migrated to Australia at 11 years of age and by 17, had founded Impact Mobile Dental Services. Now known as Pearly, the program brings dental care and prevention into schools and communities that would otherwise go without.

With a long-term goal to reach and empower one million smiles by 2030, Rand’s story is one not to be missed!
