RDN Health respectfully acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we learn and work together, and commits to building collaborative relationships, respect and opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia – and with Indigenous peoples around the world – to achieve their aspirations.
RDN Health, along with its fellow enterprises at RDN - The Charity for Health Access, have a long history of working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and organisations. Through partnerships with many Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs), RDN co-funds a significant number of Aboriginal Health Practitioner and related roles.
RDN Health remains dedicated to working alongside communities to close gaps in the social and cultural determinants of health and wellbeing to achieve equity.
"RDN Health supports the objective of the National Agreement on Closing the Gap, to enable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and governments to work together to overcome inequality and achieve life outcomes equal to all Australians.
This commitment is reflected in in RDN Health's Outreach activity, with 65% of patient consultations in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory provided to Aboriginal patients. - Health Access Outreach Services Manager Amanda Masset
